Winter 2022 – Pandemic to Endemic

Hello loyal Scropions!

I don’t really believe anyone reads these, but here is the latest…

Its been over a year since the last post, back when we had just released our debut album Winds of the Unseen Sun. It has been quite a year. The pandemic seems to be in the rear view mirror and becoming endemic now. So 2022 saw the return of live music. Shows, people. And we played 6 of ’em. We sold some CD’s and shirts (and still have plenty left!). We made friends with some awesome bands , like Queen of Dreams, Static Affliction, Rogue Rat, Iron Plow, and Birth of Tragedy. We even got to play a show opening for Anvil, White Wizzard, Midnite Hellion, and AiraCobra!! And in September we welcomed our drummer Sam Corey into the fold, and we’ve done 2 shows with him already.

I found a few reviews of the album floating around… one on bandcamp and a youtube site that was playing our music . If google translate is anything to go by, the reviews were pretty good. I found another one out there that I will try to remember to put up on youtube. Said something like “we need to be paid attention to!” Ha! This band is already beyond my wildest expectations, but maybe I can figure out how to get the album reviewed by someone .

There are no shows currently scheduled, but if asked we will hop on a bill. I know Sam is wanting to play out more! Meanwhile, we are working on new material. That’s right, we are a-writin’. Yeah – we want to make another album. And I would really like to have a new song done before we play out again. It would be fun to have something new for our next show, no promises!
