The Tide of Yule Approcahes!

Jon Bon Scropion comin’ at ya.  We are knee deep in the holidays and I wish everyone peace and love.  Looking back on this year, I am very thankful as there have been some ups and downs for the band and here we are… still in existence.  We persevered through Covid, recorded and released our debut Album “Winds of the Unseen sun”, and we opened the show when ANVIL came to town.   Its been a whirlwind year for these ol’ Scropes.  So thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who came out and banged their heads with us, supported us, and to all the bands, venues, radio shows and hosts (Max Ink Radio and sonic Asylum Radio…)

Ok, its starting to sound a little too self congratulatory so let me move on to some updates.

There are currently no shows scheduled right now.  If something comes up we will try to grab it, but we are writing up new material now.  If I can get over my procrastination and self sabotage we will have some new tunes to play soon.  And the intent is to eventually put out another album.  And play live in support of that album.  I know Sam is chomping at the bit to play out more.

We are migrating to a new practice pad.  Every now and then we took over Matt’s house, and for a handful of times we were at Perry’s place for practice, but we wander no more! It now falls to me to put up or shut up, so with the blessings of Mrs. JBS, I am converting (read as: cleaning out all the accumulated clutter of the last 20 years) my basement into Bon Scropion’s latest home.    The 1973 wood paneling and orange/brown rug should help set the tone sonically.

Again, hope your days are merry and bright!  And if you can’t stand the holidays, we get it.  We here at Bon Scropion Enterprises Limited Incorporated… well, we as individuals have taken some real vicious body blows from life this year too.  So if you don’t want to listen X-mas music this year, crank up “Winds of the Unseen Sun” and bang yer’ head, eh!

If anyone wants a t-shirt or CD send us a message and we will get it done.
