Autumnal Stirrings

It has been a little while, but WE PUT OUT AN ALBUM!! We’ve gotten really good feedback from people so far. Check out “Winds of the Unseen Sun” on Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes, or just about any of the usual digital outlets. You can also hit us up by email or DM and get a physical copy. 10 bucks. Do it. DO IT!!

The recording process was both fun, terrifying, stressful and rewarding. We figured we might not be able to play out, and instead we fine tuned it all and made a killer album over at Blast House Studios. Dustin Sisson was the engineer and he was amazing to work with. Super cool, and super accommodating for our first go. Landon Arkens mastered the project and was awesome to work with as well. All of us Scropions are super happy with how it came up.

This may sound quaint to the tech savvy, but I was not prepared for all the seemingly automated “interest” in us as soon as I released the album. All of a sudden PR dudes who “love our stuff” are looking to get our CD in the hands of bookers and management in such far flung places as Portugal, the UK, and Kazakhstan. We must be really good to get world wide acclaim for our little band that is barely known within our home base of Madison. Pretty obvious this was bottom feeder/ scam level stuff. Some dude from Germany asked to buy a physical copy. I think that one is legit. So we are officially big in Germany. Also found a Russian website that had us on it, and 1 dude had a review of us. I am honored someone cares enough to torrent us? Hey, 2 dudes none of us know bought the album, and one of them left a very complimentary review. That has got me pretty well stoked.

So we can’t wait to get out and play. We would love to see old friends and make some new ones. We are starting to work out a setlist or two, all while starting to write new material. When we get a gig, it will probably wind up being our CD release! And on it goes… see you later Super Friends.
